BIRTH: P.E.I. certificate, # 98-01-001457, in possession of Donald Minchin. MARRIAGE: Sask. cert. record # 942,1924. Newspaper article (THE CITIZEN, Kerrobert, Sask - 27 Feb 1924) in possession of Donald Minchin. See RIN 17. DEATH: Certificate (Saskatchewan 78-07-008497) in possession of Donald Minchin. Katherine was 15 years old when her mother died and she helped raise the family. She moved west to Saskatchewan in March 1919. Alex came west to Welwyn, Saskatchewan in 1908 on a harvest excursion with his brother David. They filed on homesteads in the Kerrrobert and Superb area. Besides farming they would dig wells for their neighbors. The family returned to New Perth, PEI in the fall of 1933 where two of thier children were born. In April 1937 they returned to the Superb area. After Alex's death, Elmer stayed on the farm with his mother and still farms this land today (1992).
