  • James was a WW I Veteran. He served overseas woth Canadian Expeditionary Force in France, Belgium, and Germany. Returned to Canada in 1919 and moved to Winnipeg in 1920. After marriage, they moved to St. Vital where they lived all their married life. James was employed for many years for Canadian National Railways as a Timekeeper. He retired in 1961. He was appointed Justice of the Peace in 1946, retiring in 1970. He also served as School Trustee, Municipal Councillor and Reeve of St. Vital over a 17 year period.
