"Email - Marlene Jerrard - 2019-08-19" From my records that I obtained from Canadian Passenger Lists 1865-1935 in Halifax I have this information. Albert Minchin, Age 21, Born abt 1886, Arrival on 20 March 2 1907 on the Empress of Ireland, departing from Liverpool, England and arriving at the port of St. John, New Brunswick. My records have his birthdate as 8-8,1885. He married Nellie Grace Foster born 2-23-1887 in Royalton Twp, Michigan. Albert and Grace live on Oxford Street in North Burnaby, B.C. and had three sons. James Minchin, Robert and Richard Frederick Minchin born on August 26, 1917. Albert worked for the newspaper and was a typesetter. My dad, Richard, also worked in the same field with Pacific Press publishing the Vancouver Sun and Province. I wish I knew more of the story of how they settled out west. Once settled in Burnaby they lived in the same house almost all of their lives. Robert was a bachelor and cared for Albert until he moved into a care home. My sister and brother might know a little more than I do. Maybe you can put some pieces together. Cheers, Marlene.
