  • CAPRI,  Beatrice "Pat" - Beatrice "Pat" Capri of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on February 17, 2013 at the age of 89 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Diane (Mike) Merritt of Lethbridge, Cathy (Keith) McKellar of Calgary and Carol (Cliff) Doroshenko of Medicine Hat; three grandsons, Kevin, Jeff and Paul; four great- grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley and Ruth; three brothers, Bill, Bruce and Earl as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe, one great-granddaughter, Kennedy and three brothers, Eldon, Elmer and Lorne. Pat enjoyed a lengthy and rewarding career in real estate. Following retirement of her career, she went on to work as the office manager for Lake Bonavista Home Owners Association, renewing many acquaintances with former clients. Those who were lucky enough to have known Pat, knew she had a zest for life, a wonderful sense of humour, a quick wit and was compassionate and caring towards others. She enjoyed playing Bingo, playing the slots, especially in Vegas. She loved to travel. Her travels took her to Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, Scotland and the Maritimes to name a few. She will always be remembered for those sparkling baby blue eyes. A special thank you to Dr. Duke, Terry, Angela and Crystal for the outstanding care mom received while in the hospital in Medicine Hat. Doctors, LPN's, John and Ritchie of the Heart and Stroke Unit at the Foothills Hospital and Dr. Addison and staff at the Fanning Centre also deserve a special thank you for their care and kindness. A Come and Go time of visitation will be held at White Cliff Estates Community Building, 2715 Dovely Park SE on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for those whishing to honour Pat's memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 100 - 119 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 or to the charity of one's choice.
